Procrastination

Have you ever put something off? I'll do it tomorrow, next week, next month. Have you put off joining the gym, going for a run, changing your diet?

Maybe this will help you to stop procrastinating.

Obese-fat-loss

Our body's ability to store body fat is almost limitless. Much of our excess body fat is stored as subcutaneous (under the skin) but there is also fat storage around the kidneys, liver and even inside muscle. In fact, as we age, fat storage within muscle tends to increase and means we don’t notice it as much as when it's sitting around our waists. The fat can be seen on the picture above as the white tissue surrounding the muscles and organs.

Most of our stored body fat serves energy reservoir which is readily available for use when food is scarce.  The problem is food is abundant and our appetites large. This is the precise reason why there is an obesity epidemic, particularly in North America.

Excess body fat can be the primary cause of a host of problems not limited to high cholesterol, heart disease and high blood pressure. So stop procrastinating!

What defines a CrossFitter? Is it strength? Power? Is it by how they look? Not in my book. As far as I'm concerned a CrossFitter is defined by determination, dedication and not being afraid to step up and do something they have never done before and give it 100%.

Strength Day

Every tuesday is strength day, where we do max lifts and work on form. These are my favorite workout days because there is so much comradarie and support. Every class I am impressed. No matter their fitness level they are working as hard as they can and surprising even themselves at what they can do. This is why I love my job....

Grand Opening Party!

It has been a long time in coming so we are very excited to finally celebrate our grand opening.
 
On Friday, March 6 we will be hosting a group workout and a party after for all to enjoy. Everyone is welcome so bring your friends, collegues and family.
If you don't want to workout you can just watch, or come afterwards for the celebrations. We will have t-shirt and membership raffles and any new members that sign up will recieve their first week free.
Non alcoholic beverages and snacks will be provided. BYOB
